Jaipur
An ascent to the 16th century Amber fort over the back of an elephant. Drive past the Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of Winds, and visit the City Palace and museum, walk to adjacent Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Enjoy a traditional Marwari dinner at Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic Rajasthani village on the outskirts of Jaipur
Day 1
Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, India’s capital city, and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon you will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi, visit the Qutub Minar, tallest stone tower in India. Drive past the imposing India Gate and the Rastrapathi Bhawan. Also visit the Raj Ghat and drive past the Red fort & Jama Masjid. Enjoy a joy ride on a cycle rickshaw through the narrow bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk. Evening is at leisure; optionally you may visit the Red fort for sound and light show. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Delhi – Agra (206 kms / 3-4 hrs)
Today you will drive to the Mughal city of Agra. Arrive and check into your hotel. This afternoon visit the Agra fort, built by the great Emperor Akbar, proceed to the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. This evening is at leisure for shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
Agra – Jaipur (221 kms / 5 hrs)
This morning you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur, enroute you will stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Arrive Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Later this evening you will visit Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic Rajasthani village located on the outskirts of Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4
Jaipur
This morning visit the Amber fort, built in the 16th century; enjoy an elephant ride at Amber. Drive past the Hawa Mahal, a Palace of winds. In the afternoon you will visit the city palace and museum, walk to adjacent Jantar Mantar an astronomical observatory. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Depart Jaipur (258 kms / 5-6 hrs)
Transfer to Jaipur airport / railway station or by road to Delhi airport / railway station for your onward journey back home.
